Visit of the representatives of the Baden-Württemberg Parliament

On June 24, 2013 Professor Irena Lipowicz met with the Standing Committee of the parliament of Baden-Württemberg (Germany). The Committee interests lie in the fields of constitutional affairs and law as well as European policy. The discussion focused on, inter alia, the relations between the Ombudsman and the national Parliament, particularly with regard to the protection of human rights and the ombudsman’s cooperation with the judiciary. Issues concerning growing social needs in times of the economic and financial crisis were also tackled. The German side expressed particular interest in the legal aid system.
