Ombudsman’s meeting with delegation from Kazakhstan

Prof. Irena Lipowicz held a meeting with Mr. Usen Suleiman, Ambassador-at-Large, responsible for human rights issues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Mr. Suleiman was accompanied by Vyacheslav Kalyuzhnyy, Head of the National Centre of Human Rights of Kazakhstan and Tastemir Abishev, Secretary of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazahstan. The discussion focused on the cooperation between institutions and the observance of human and citizen rights. During the meeting issues concerning aspects of freedom of political activity and freedom of belief were touched upon.
