3rd Summit of Ombudsmen

The Commissioner for Human Rights, dr. Adam Bondnar attended the 3rd Summit of Ombudsmen from Eastern Partnership, Western Balkans and V4 countries held in the headquarters of European Parliament in Brussels. The event was coorganised by Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Poland and Office of MEP, Mr Andrzej Grzyb. Ms. Emily O’Reilly, European Ombudsman actively participated in the meeting. The Summit aimed at facilitating the exchange of good practices and strengthening the international cooperation between Ombudsmen in European Union and its neighbouring countries. The leading subjects of the summit were “Migration and human rights” and “The role of the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRI) in EU Action Plan for Democracy and Human Rights 2015-2019”.
